Japanese comes to Kemptville - Curbalicious is extremely pleased to announce our next popup with Ottawa's finest for Japanese cuisine - Kiko Sushibar.
SUNDAY DINNER POPUP
May 30, 2021
Chef Thao Huynh and Chef Huy Tran are trained and experienced chefs specializing in Japanese cuisine. Chef Thao studied under Japanese chefs in Vancouver for 14 years before coming to Ottawa to set up Kiko Sushibar with his family 11 years ago with a hyperfocus on very authentic items as well as traditional methods of preparation. Chef Huy began his training upon Kiko's opening and has since traveled throughout Asia to hone his craft and learn amongst the most talented chefs.
Fileting an entire fish is an incredible honour in the Japanese culture - artistry and quality is the highest responsibility. All Kiko sauces including the very popular Teriyaki, Wasabi and Unagi are all traditionally made in-house. Members from both the Japan Embassy including the Ambassador himself, as well as many members of Japanese society in Ottawa dine at Kiko on a regular basis.
